Woot can't wait to see how the game play will be different. I also ponder what kind of tonics they'll be releasing!

Interesting. It's going to be a fun week Haven't been on GW for a while. I might...
- Check the new pvp stuff out!
- Buy a couple o costumes for half the price.
- Check out the HM quests while doing WiK again.
- Get lucky and unlucky title for HoM.

It's the 'other' (already existing) stuff that will be on sale. Several sites, including incgamers, have a post that states this:
Quote:
Also, from 28 April through to 9 June Guild Wars fans can take advantage of weekly sales on items such as costume packs, character slots, mission packs and more, which are all being reduced by 50% in the NCsoft Store. The sales will be updated at noon Pacific each week during the six week sale celebration.
|
It's highly unlikely that they're talking about brand new costume packs, character slots (?) and mission packs here...

"Mutual Friends List" is code for "You can't add someone to your friends list trivially anymore".
Used to be I could add someone to my friend list with no consequences. Here's an example of what I mean:
1. "Hey fellow pug members, can I bring my imbagon instead of my rit?"
2. "Sure thing, go ahead and switch to your imbagon instead"
3. *I add his rit to my friend list so I can see when his imbagon loads in and message him*
4. *I am forgetful, and as usual, I forget to remove him from my list*
Before, the above would happen without consequence.
Now? If I don't remember to remove him, then everyone on his friends list gets to see me?
Adding consequences to previously-trivial actions == lame, especially when those consequences affect my online privacy. I guess I'll have to go start deleting those trivially added people from my friends list.

I use my FL to keep up with friends and acquaintances since my guild is tiny and most of my friends are scattered around several guilds. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person in this situation. Most of these people have more than one character and it's a lot easier to add them to my FL than have to ask who they are every time they send a whisper from a character I haven't seen before. It's sort of like my GW caller ID!
This doesn't mean I want them to know exactly where I am and what I'm doing.

Mutual, as in if you add me to your fl, and I add you to my fl, we can see each other's location. If you only add me to your fl, and I am not adding you, I can't see your location.
Other friends of me or of you has nothing to do with this.

The way you describe it, you'd need to clean your friends list once in a while anyway. I don't mind it, but the feature is not THAT helpful in a fully instanced game. I like it, because it shows the LTs devotion to the game. There were many updates in the past months, which have improved the client overall.

.... No.
All it means is that if you friend Bob and Bob friends you, when you look at your friends list it will say "Bob (in Ascalon City)". Similarly, if Bob looks at his friends list it will say "Ghull Ka (in Hells Precipice). "
If you don't want Bob to know where you are, simply defriend him (temporarily or permanently).
Bob's friends will not be able to see where you are unless you friend them and they friend you.

My thoughts exactly.
Hey, you're doing thunderhead keep. I need to finish that mission too, can I join in? That's how your friends list is supposed to work.
